A graduate of two Masters programs and a CT certification program, I am a passionate teacher of all things English. I come from a family of avid readers who thrill at the prospect of discussing and writing about literature...(huge bookworms, basically!)
I have significant experience with private teaching/tutoring and I work with students from grades 2 through 12. I personalize instruction to meet their specific needs while providing support for district curriculum goals. When needed I can address interdisciplinary issues and content as well as standardized testing concerns.

My tutoring services are tailored to each individual student, and are intended to supplement regular school instruction. During our first session the student and I discuss challenges and goals, and identify areas in need of support. Nobody becomes a better reader or writer overnight, and thus I expect a tutoring engagement to last at least a semester. The vast majority of my private students work with me throughout the school year and use the summer months to preview texts and skills for the upcoming grade level.
