How nice to have another Extra™ sort of word for high-flown or bombastic speech that has, in reality, very little substance to it. What sort of things can be magniloquent, you may wonder. Boasts, for sure; Pompous political posturing; An unfortunately large number of academic articles that put style over thought, or verbosity over understandable arguments.
Stick with clarity, reason, and eloquence and you'll be fine! Leave the bombast to the boors.
